Palmer resident David William Carroll, 77, peacefully passed away on January 26, 2025 at his home in Palmer, Alaska. His wife, Cindi Cabo-Carroll and daughter, Adeshka VanKrevelen were at his bedside.

In carrying out David's wishes, no service will be held rather a Celebration of Life. The Celebration of the Life of this wonderful man will be held on July 17, 2025 at The Chalet at Government Peak, 10690 N Mountain Trails Drive, Palmer Alaska at 6 p.m. Those who knew David are invited to join all the girls and their families to reminisce and share stories.

David was born in Eugene, Oregon to Joseph and Mary Carroll. He graduated from St. Francis High School in 1965 then attended the University of Oregon. David moved to Alaska in 1969, living in Anchorage for a few years until moving to Trapper Creek. In 1979, he married Arlene Dunbar Wilsey and moved to the Wasilla area where they raised two children. David was widowed in 1994. Cindi and David met in 1995 while working at the remodel of Palmer Junior Middle School, David working for the borough and Cindi the school district. They were married in 1998 creating a blended family of Arlene's children and grandchildren, Arlene and David's children and Cindi's daughters. David worked for the Matanuska Susitna Borough until retirement in 2003. In retirement enjoyed charity work with Knights of Columbus, St. Michaels Catholic church, also golf, snow machine riding, exploring on his ATV and hunting with the crew.

David is survived by his wife, Cindi; daughter Adeshka; step-daughters, Victoria (Bill) Coghill, Stephanie (Scott) Jackson, Jocelyn (David) Lazer, Deborah Lowry; step-son Brett Wilsey; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. David was preceded in death by his first wife, Arlene; parents, Joseph and Mary; son, Joseph; and brothers, Lawrence and James.

The family wishes to thank Mat-Su Regional and Ancora Hospice Staff for their care. Arrangements have been entrusted with Kehl's Palmer Mortuary.
