Dean N. Hubbard, 85, died peacefully on Feb. 10, 2016, at the Veterans and Pioneer Home in Palmer, Alaska. The Lord’s presence was felt in his room prior to his passing.
At his request, no service will be held. His ashes will be spread at his son and daughter-in-law’s cabin in Trapper Creek, Alaska, this summer.
Dean was born April 8, 1930, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to Norman and Marie Hubbard.
Dean had a long and successful career as a truck driver for John Morrell and Company.
Mr. Hubbard served in the United States Army as a mechanic. Dean was a scout leader and Little League coach. Dean came to Alaska to be with his family in 2012.
He is survived by his sons, Michael, Jeffery and Scott; daughter, Terry; daughter-in-law, Laura; son-in-law, Perry; and grandsons, Billy and James.
