Former Wasilla resident Debbie Hajduk, 56, passed away June 16, 2013.
Debbie was born Nov.6, 1956, in Kansas City, Mo. She grew up in Aberdeen, Wash.
Debbie married Fred Hajduk in 1976. She obtained her teaching degree from Washington State University in Ellensburg, Wash. Debbie and Fred taught in Gold Beach, Ore., and Point Hope before moving to Wasilla, where she taught for 20 years.
Debbie was known for her wonderful sense of humor. She loved animals, scuba diving, skydiving and watching football on TV.
Most recently, Debbie and her family lived in southern California, where she continued her teaching career.
Surviving are her husband, Fred; son, Raymond; daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Pat Eblen; parents, Jan and Len Lawr; brothers, Mike and Kim; and sisters, Margo and Julie.
Services are June 22 in Federal Way, Wash.
