Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

Deborah “Debbie” Sue Knight Zuspann died Sept. 12, 2011.
For 37 years, she was the loving and dedicated wife to C. Daniel Zuspann and is survived by him and her son, Eric Zuspann, and his wife, Tammy Zuspann, of northern Virginia.
Debbie walked with Jesus all of her life and was dedicated to the study of God’s word. She loved the Lord with her whole heart, soul and mind. She was a consummate prayer warrior, an intercessor and committed to showing the love of Jesus to all she encountered.
She was born to Wilma and Willard Knight on March 5, 1951, the sixth of seven children.
Surviving are Joann Densmore of Medford, Ore.; Chuck Knight of Coos Bay, Ore.; Larry Knight of Bandon, Ore.; Ken Knight of Moses Lake, Wash.; and Jon Knight of Wasilla. Preceding her in death was her eldest brother, Gene and her parents.
Debbie graduated from Coquille High School in Coquille, Ore., and later attended North West Christian College in Eugene, Ore. She finished her education at Ore College of Education in Monmouth, Ore. Debbie worked as an administrative secretary at Houston High School prior to beginning her work with Wasilla Assembly of God Church as its secretary. In 2010, she stepped down to concentrate on her heath and family.
A celebration of life is at 7 p.m., Sept. 14, at Wasilla Assembly of God Church, 125 W. Riley Ave. Pastor Ed Kalnins will officiate. In lieu of flowers or gifts, a donation can be made to the Debbie Zuspann Memorial Fund at Wasilla Assembly of God Church.
