Debra “Renee” Greenleaf died peacefully at home after a long illness. No public services are planned.
Born in Hollywood, Fla., on Aug. 10, 1957, Greenleaf enjoyed working as a tax consultant until she was struck with multiple sclerosis.
She was a loving mother, sister and grandmother and doted on her grandchildren. She was strong willed and even after being diagnosed attempted to hike into the Grand Canyon. She loved to spend time in Louisiana with close friends. Science fiction movies occupied much of her time after her illness began to take its toll.
Greenleaf moved to Alaska in September 2006 after the passing of her mother to be closer to her family.
She was preceded in death by her father, John Wayne Boseman, and mother, Judith Mendel.
Survivors are her brother, Thomas Bozeman of Wasilla; sons, Jason (Jody) Corthell and Lance Davis, all of Wasilla; grandchildren, Jeanette, Wil and Jonny Corthell of Wasilla, Haley Corthell of Las Vegas, Wesley Corthell of South Lake Tahoe, Calif., Megan Corthell of Duncanville, Ala., and Julianne and Nathan of Simi Valley, Calif.; and her husband, George Greenleaf of Las Vegas.
Arrangements are with Alaskan Heritage Memorial Chapel and Crematory.
