Dee McNeese, 75, died Oct. 7, 2012, at her home in Palmer. A memorial service is at 2 p.m., Oct. 26 at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Palmer.
Dee was born on March 21, 1937, in Michigan. Her family later moved to Santa Barbara, Calif., where she met Ron McNeese, who was in the U.S. Navy stationed in San Diego, Calif. They married in 1956. After college in Fargo, N.D., they moved to Palmer in 1963, where they raised a family.
Dee loved flowers and grew beautiful indoor and outdoor plants. She also loved to cook for her two grandsons.
Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law; Bill and Linda Elliott; son, Darrin McNeese; grandchildren, Logan, Drew and Emily Elliott; brother and sister-in-law, Duane and Linda Marshall; and her husband’s family, George and Marlys McNeese and family, Esther McNeese and family, Bob and Mary Ann Jensen, Jim and Karen McNeese, and Josh and Katrina Nilson.
