Lifelong Alaskan Dennis A. Brink, 61, died unexpectedly Nov. 26, 2010, at his rural Wasilla home.
Dennis Andrew Brink was born July 27, 1949, in Anchorage, the son of John and Elaine (Andrew) Brink. He was raised in Anchorage, where he attended school.
Following his education he worked on the pipeline and as commercial fisherman. At the time of his death he was a carpenter in Wasilla.
“Although he worked as a carpenter, he was a fisherman at heart and loved just being out on the boat,” his family wrote.
Survivors include his father, John L. Brink of Holmesville, Neb.; brother, Gregory A. Brink of San Diego, Calif.; sister, Robin A. Gross of Fairbanks; daughter, Dawn Gray of Eugene, Ore.; and nephew, Jesse A. Gross of Fort Meade, Md.
His mother preceded him in death.
The family is planning a private gathering. Arrangements were by Valley Funeral Home and Crematory.
