Dennis A. VanGorder

Dennis A. VanGorder, 57, passed away Oct. 1, 2014, in Anacortes, Washington. Dennis was born in Cortland, New York on May 7, 1957, to Robert and Joanne VanGorder.

The family moved to Alaska in 1969 where he grew up and attended school in Wasilla.

Surviving are his mother, Joanne VanGorder in Graham, Washington; son, Neal (Jane) VanGorder in Palmer; daughter, Angelique (Bryan) Haney in Sisters, Oregon; son, Benjamin (Michelle) VanGorder in Oak Harbor, Washington; daughter, Kristain (David) Sixto in San Diego, California; stepsons, Carl and Curtis Slater in Wasilla; grandchildren, Joseph, Katlyn and Ryan VanGorder in Oak Harbor, Washington, Christopher and Ronin VanGorder in Palmer, Madison and Zoey Haney in Sisters, Oregon; siblings, Wendy (Roland) Jansson in Uppsala, Sweden, Tamara (Tom) Maus in Graham, Washington and Randall VanGorder in Kapowsin, Washington; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death was his father, Robert VanGorder

Graveside service and burial will be in the spring in Virgil, New York.
