Dennis L. Pennington

Dennis L Pennington passed away on July 22, 2015 at the age of 63. He was surrounded by his wife, children, including their spouses, grandchildren, brother, sisters, and best friends who loved him very much and are going to miss him immensely.

Dennis was born in Harrison, Arkansas and raised in Sacramento, California but when it was all said and done with was an Alaskan for the majority of his adult life. He loved Alaska and chose to bring his family here in 1978, never looking back. Dennis loved the outdoors, despised hot weather, loved boats, and loved spending time on his property in Anchor Point with his family who he loved very much. Dennis is survived by his wife of 40 years, Karen Pennington of Palmer, daughter Jessica Heafner and husband Adam Heafner of Anchorage, son Nathan Pennington and wife Christina Pennington of Aurora, Ohio, and son Zachary Pennington of Anchorage. Dennis also had three grandchildren that he loved very much: Bryn, Everett and Elsa. Special thanks goes out to those who came to see him in his remaining weeks with us, it meant a lot to him and his family. Thank you to everyone who helped his family and for all the prayers sent to our Savior Jesus Christ during this time. Dennis was laid to rest at a private ceremony in his favorite place to spend time in the summers.
