Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

Wasilla resident Dennis Neff, 53, died Sept. 25, 2007, at Mat-Su Regional Medical Center in Palmer following a battle with lung cancer.
A graveside service was held Oct. 2 at the Wasilla Aurora Cemetery.
Neff was born Oct. 12, 1953, in Honolulu, Hawaii, to Ervin and Clara Marie (Shilling) Neff.
Neff enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting and helping build log cabin homes. He was an accomplished man and loved by anyone he made friends with. Neff also was a skilled photographer and had experience in carpentry, mechanics, electrical work and cabinet making. He went to school in New York City. Neff was a Christian and Quaker.
He is survived by sisters Elaine Neff Henry of Fort Worth, Texas, and Judy Neff of Yukon, Okla.; and uncle Bill Shilling of Cyril, Okla. He will also be missed my many friends.
