Palmer resident Diane Dennis, 69, died Jan. 1, 2013, at her home.
A memorial will be scheduled at a later date.
Diane was born Aug. 9, 1943, in London, England, to William and Alice (Manser) Drake. She graduated from Kidbrooke School in London and continued her education at New Cross Hospital School of Nursing. On Oct. 5, 1963, after completing her education, Diane was registered with the England and Wales Roll of Nurses. She has been a resident of Alaska since 2008.
She was a loving and devoted mother who would do anything to make her children happy. She lived to be a grandmother above all things; her grandchildren were the most important people in her life.
Surviving are son and daughter-in-law, Phillip L. and Natalie Dennis of San Diego, Calif.; daughter and son-in-law, Amanda J. and Landon M. Wells of Sutton; grandchildren, Derek L. Wells of Sutton, and Patrick J., Joshua L. and Emily Dennis of San Diego, Calif.
Preceding her in death were her parents; and sisters, Leslie and Susan Drake.
