Diane Lee Pratt, 61, died Jan. 7, 2013, at Providence Hospital in Anchorage.

A visitation is from noon to 1 p.m., Jan. 12 at Alaskan Heritage Memorial Chapel at 1015 S. Check St., Wasilla, followed by a 1 p.m. service at the chapel and a graveside service at 2 p.m. at Wasilla Aurora Cemetery.

Diane was born in Los Angeles, Calif. She moved to Oregon with family as a teenager, but settled in Alaska in 1993, where she became a member of the Baha’i faith for the last 19 years.

She loved driving bus and drove tour and school buses. She loved Alaska and enjoyed driving people around, sharing its beauty with others.

Surviving are her sons, Joseph Pratt and Noah Sims of Wasilla; sister, Rebecca Lindsay of Washington; various nieces, nephews; and many foster children.

Preceding her in death was her mother, Margaret Remsen; brother, Thomas Remsen; and nephew, Timothy Lindsay.

Diane was very loving and generous with a great sense of humor. Diane was a mother figure to many teenagers and took the strays into her home. She did not meet a child she didn’t love.

Arrangements are with Alaskan Heritage Memorial Chapel.
