Dianne Elizabeth Hagerty, 73, passed away peacefully on Oct. 22, 2015, with her family by her side.

Dianne was born April 29, 1942, in Jamestown, New York, to Mark and Mabel Ulrich. In 1957, the family moved to California, where Dianne graduated from San Fernando High School in 1960. In November of 1960, she married Airman Jerry Colby and they had two children. They were stationed around the United States and Germany.

In 1974, she moved to Chugiak, Alaska. In 1977, she married Charles Hagerty. They lived in Palmer and Anchorage. At the time of her passing, she resided in Gakona, Alaska.

Dianne worked at Mt. Sanford Tribal Consortium for almost 20 years, where she was a very dedicated worker. She retired in July 2013.

Her family wrote that Dianne was the most loving, supportive, caring, compassionate, brave and funny person. Dianne loved to travel and explore new places, taking pictures, gardening and just relaxing at home. Family was very important to her, as were her furry grandbabies. She is loved and will be missed immensely.

Dianne is survived by her son, Jerry Colby (Sally); Dianne was awaiting the arrival of her grandson Gunner, due in November; her daughter, Deanna Price (Brian); stepson, Monte Hagerty (Lorraine); stepdaughters, Patti Taylor (Doug), Lori Hagerty, Michele Reimer (Garrett); nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She is also survived by her brother, Warren Ulrich (Nell); two nieces and a nephew; brother in-law, Jimmie Crabtree and nephew, Kendall.

“Mom” is also survived by many special and honorary children, grandchildren, friends and family members.

Dianne was preceded in death by her parents, Mark and Mabel Ulrich; sister, Karen Crabtree, and husband, Charles Hagerty.

Dianne’s celebration of life and burial will be June 11, 2016, at the Glennallen Cemetery, in Glennallen, Alaska.
