Donald Albert Witsoe passed away on April 17, 2021, of congestive heart failure. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Clementine Witsoe, and his son Eric Witsoe.
Don was initiated into Anchorage Lodge #221, now Lodge #17, on March 15,1972, and rose to a Master Mason on May 3, 2021. He received dual membership with Iditarod Lodge #20 on May 25, 1995, and became a life member of Iditarod Lodge #20 in 1997, where he served as Worshipful Master in 2000. He was initiated as a 32° Mason in the Anchorage Scottish Rite Valley on September 16, 1972. He became a charter member of Al Aska Shrine in 1974 and served as Potentate in 2002. He was also a member of Pacific Rim Lodge XII in Vladivostok, Russia. He also joined the Royal Order of Jesters in 1997.
His celebration of life will be held on Sunday, May 23 at the Al Aska Shrine Temple in Anchorage, Alaska, at 2pm.
