Donald was the son of William and Kathleen McKenzie of Houston, Texas.
Donald is survived by his Wife, Veronica McKenzie, his Daughter, Courtney and her husband, Anthony Goble; his Daughter, Melanie Neher, his Son, Benjamin Neher Jr., and his Grandsons, Reese Fenner, Donovan B-Olsen and Camden Goble.
He is also survived by his Sister’s, Katy McKenzie Hayes, Wendy Taylor; and his Sister and Brother-In-Law’s, Connie and Merle Ballard, Gloria and Ray Stubbs, Deborah and Mark Champion and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was known as Papa to his grandchildren and two special girls; Kendall Wratislaw and Kailey Clark.
He was preceded in death by his Son, Christopher Coulter-Fenner, his sisters, Cynthia (Tiny) Hager and Juanita McPherson.
Donald was an avid reader of all things Civil War and Alaska. He loved to travel, metal detect, hunt, fish, garden and was glad to tell you a story. He was very proud to have served his country as a United States Marine in Vietnam. His travels took him to Prudhoe Bay, the Middle East, Vietnam, Europe, Russia. Australia, Mexico and Canada. Donald called Alaska his home when he moved to Wasilla in 1995.
