Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

Donna Marie Sture (Chidester), of Wasilla, Alaska, passed away on February 18, 2024, at the age of 66. She was born on May 8, 1957 in Kittery, Maine.
Donna was a loving, compassionate, sacrificial, affectionate, and hospitable child of God who touched the lives of many. She found joy in cooking for others, arts and crafts, hosting gatherings, and showering her family with love.
She is survived by her husband, Dirk Sture, her children Michael, Jennie, Jillian, and Joyful, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as her brothers Mark, Jeff, and Rob Chidester.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, March 23rd, 2024, at 5pm at Big Lake Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Samaritan’s Purse in Donna's memory.
Donna will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her legacy of love and kindness will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
