Dorla Deen ( Seyl ) Arduser, 85, passed away on Nov. 30, 2017 in Wasilla Alaska. Dorla is survived by Randy, Beverly Bates and Dustin, along with three grandsons Jason, Joseph and Alex Arduser, six great grandchildren. Dorla was preceded in death of her husband Laddie Arduser.

Dorla was born in Beldon, Nebraska on Sept. 24, 1932, to the parents of Henry and Ilo Seyl. Graduating from Beldon High School in 1949, she married Laddie Arduser in November of 1949. In 1959, they moved to Alaska, settling in Anchorage and sitting up residence in North Mountain View. She worked for the Anchorage School District for 25 years, retiring as an Assistant District Manager for food services for the Anchorage School District. In her retirement years she and her husband would build their last home on ten acres in Wasilla. Travel throughout the United States and visit Europe numerous times. Dorla was a active person who was deeply involved in walking, planting flowers and golfing. Her pride and joy was her poppy flower garden. Family and friends will always remember her as a kind and caring person, willing to share stories about her life and growing up in Beldon Nebraska with her three brothers, Merrill, Jean and Roger Seyl. The one story she would always tell us children was she started school a year earlier than normal, because her brother Merrill would not start kindergarten without her.

A viewing is scheduled for Thursday Dec. 7, 2017 between 4 to 6 p.m. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Dorla's life. The family would like to thank Legacy Funeral Homes and Cremation Services for the facility. Any donations can be sent to alz.org Alzheimer’s Association.
