Dorothy Lynn Heintzman, age 74, of Rigby, Idaho passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2023 in Rigby. She was born December 17, 1948 in Scotia, California, the daughter of Billie Bill Lester Banfill and Julia Katherine Robuson Banfill.
Dorothy attended schools in Fairbanks, Alaska graduating from Lathrop High School. She has lived in Fairbanks, AK, Wasilla, AK, Yakima, WA, then back to Wasilla before moving to Rigby, Idaho to be closer to her daughter.
Dorothy married Dale Dailey in 1968. They later divorced. She married Joe Heintzman. Joe preceded her in death. She worked as a rural mail carrier for the United States Postal Service in Wasilla, AK for 30 years.
She loved to quilt and was a member of the Wasilla Quilt Guild. She enjoyed hunting, gardening, being with her family and her dog Penny.
Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Cheryle Dailey of Rigby, Idaho and a sister, Nancy Carter of Leander, Texas; and two grandchildren, Hanna and Porter.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe, and her parents.
