Edmond Andrew Paquette, 77 passed away at his home in Big Lake, Alaska on Feb. 14, 2017.

Edmond was born on Feb. 8, 1939 in Ware, Massachusetts to Edmond and Eileen Paquette. After graduating high school Edmond went and joined the U.S. Army where he later retired as a Major. In 1980 moving from West Brookfield MA, Edmond set his sights to Alaska where he could enjoy some of his favorite things like hunting, fishing and most of all flying.

In the Army he was awarded Distinguished Flying Cross, Bronze Star Medal and numerous other Medal and Awards.

Edmond had a zest for life, if he wasn’t flying a plane he was most likely fixing one. He was without a doubt one of a kind and he will truly be missed.

Edmond is survived by his son Ronald Ballard, brothers Norman, James, Richard, and Dennis, and two sisters Laureen St.Hilaire and Judith Towne.

Edmond is preceded in death by his parents Edmond and Eileen Vigneau Paquette, and his brother Raymond.

The Memorial Service will be held on Feb. 20, 2017 at 4 p.m. at Big Lake Baptist Church. He will then have Military Honors with the Army Honor Guard on Feb. 21, 2017 at 1 p.m. and will be laid to rest at Ft. Richardson National Cemetery.
