Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

Longtime Wasilla resident Mrs. Eleanor “Lena” “Ellie” Scott, 71, passed away at home Oct. 28, 2014.
Eleanor was born Nov. 24, 1942, in Bebington, England, and the family relocated to the United States in 1961. Eleanor lived continuously in Wasilla from 1994, after her late husband, Michael Scott, retired from the Air Force. She loved animals — especially her cats, Snowball and Whisker.
Surviving are her daughter, Sherri Blair; son, Kenneth Blair; sisters, Margaret Scott of Wasilla, Sadie Postlewhite of England; brothers, Billy and Stephan Thomas of England; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life is at 2 p.m., Nov. 4 at the Valley Funeral Home, 151 E. Herning Ave., Wasilla. Burial will take place at the Wasilla Aurora Cemetery following the services.
