Elenora Russell, 88, was called home to rest on Jan.1, 2015. She was born Elenora Wiesner.
She trained as an registered nurse at the Seton School of Nursing under the U.S. Cadet Nurses Corp and graduated in 1947. She worked as a RN for six decades. She was married to Victor Russell for 40 years.
Elenora is survived by her three children, six grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
She moved to Alaska after the death of her husband in 1997. She enjoyed genealogy, crosswords and fellowship at the Pioneer Peak Baptist Church.
Celebration of life is at 10 a.m., Jan. 8 at Pioneer Peak Baptist Church, 4355 S Old Glenn Hwy., Palmer. Pastor Aron M. Schrepfer will officiate.
Arrangements were cared for by Valley Funeral Home, Wasilla Chapel.
