Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

Elizabeth “Betty” Hobbs, 79, died Feb. 26, 2012.
Betty was born on Oct. 13, 1932, in Los Angeles, Calif., to Lorimer and Sarah Orr. She was married to Austin Hobbs. He died in 1999.
She had a great love for her family, and especially for children. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She was a very spiritual influence to all and had a great knowledge of our heavenly father’s plan for us.
She will be dearly missed by all who knew her, especially her family.
Surviving are four children, Randy (Lori) Hobbs of Palmer, Russell (Debra) Hobbs of Woods Cross, Utah, Linda (Ron) Houskeeper of Kaysville, Utah, and Lisa Hobbs of Palmer; brother, Jay Orr; 22 grandchildren; and 36 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lorimer and Sarah Orr; husband, Austin Hobbs; brothers, Delos Orr, Wayne Orr and Thomas Orr; and great-grandson, Seth Howes.
Funeral services are at 10 a.m., March 3 at Lindquist’s Kaysville Mortuary, 400 N. Main, Kaysville, Utah. Friends may visit the family before the service from 9:30 to 10 a.m., at the mortuary.
