Elizabeth M. "Liz" Hawkins, 69, died Jan. 23, 2012, in Wasilla. She was born Oct. 5, 1942, in Scotland to Allister and Nora (McDonald) Boage.
She worked recently as a bartender and loved living in Alaska with her favorite cats. No services are planned and her ashes will be scattered at her favorite place in Alaska in the spring by her family.
Surviving are her children, Luzanne Healey, Paul and Jim Tallant; her extended family in the Lower 48; and the friends she made in Alaska.
