ELIZABETH RITA RIBBECK

Elizabeth Rita Ribbeck, 83, passed away June 28, 2010, at her home in Wasilla. A memorial service will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Valley Funeral Home, 151 E. Herning Ave. in Wasilla.

Mrs. Ribbeck was born June 14, 1927, in Huntington, England, to John and Larinia (France) Harris. She graduated from Grand Princeton University School of Nursing in England.

In 1993, Mrs. Ribbeck moved to Alaska, living in Palmer for a short time before calling Wasilla her home. She was Order of Amaranth Frontier Court No. 6 in Palmer and was a past Grand Royal Maytron of Alaska. Mrs. Ribbeck was a master home gardener.

She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Edward Earl Ribbeck of Wasilla. She was preceded in death by her first and second husbands and her daughter and three grandchildren, who went off a cliff in Seaside, Ore., in 1983.

Her ashes will be buried at Stroud Cemetery in Stroud, Okla.

Arrangements were with Valley Funeral Home and Crematory in Wasilla.
