Eva Maxine Kowalski, 57, born June 1, 1959 in Denver, Colorado to Kenneth and Marilyn Loyd left us too early on Jan. 16, 2017, due to a long battle with cancer.

She attended school until the family moved to Alaska, where she graduated at Wasilla High School. In 1982, Eva married Phillip and raised three beautiful girls as they resided in Big Lake, Alaska. Eva was known throughout the community as “the Sign Lady” at ‘Sign Works’. Eva’s lifetime passions were traveling, photography, horses, crafts, and her family. Many individuals were impacted by her sweet smile, kindness and generosity. She was always willing to help others no matter what.

Eva was preceded in death by father, Kenneth Loyd Sr.; brother, Kenneth Loyd Jr.; grandparents; cousins, aunts, and uncles.

Eva is survived by husband, Phillip Kowalski; daughters: Rhonda Loyd, Michelle Garcia (Joseph), and Jamie Kowalski; grandchildren: Joseph, Danyel, Karlee, Jennifer, Maci, and Ashlynn; mother, Marilyn Loyd; siblings: John Loyd (Cindy), Stacy Loyd, and David Loyd.

Services are Saturday, Jan. 21, 2017, at Faith Bible Fellowship, Big Lake, Alaska. Viewing will be from 12:30 p.m. to 1 p.m. Memorial service begins at 1 p.m. Graveside service to follow at Aurora Cemetery Reception to follow services at Faith Bible Fellowship.
