Doris Mary Daniels

Alaska resident Doris Mary Daniels, 82, died Jan. 29, 2007, at Alaska Regional Hospital in Anchorage.

A service is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 11, 2007, at the First Baptist Church of Wasilla, 900 Leather Leaf Loop.

Her ashes will be scattered at a later time at Dunigan Beach, Fla.

She was born on June 14, 1924, in Riverdale, N.J. She and her husband owned a deli in Tappan, N.Y.

She became a resident of Alaska in 1998, and lived in Anchorage from 1999-2005. She also lived in Wasilla.

She was affiliated with the First Baptist Church of Wasilla and the Anchorage Baptist Temple, as well as the Anchorage, Peters Creek, and Wasilla Senior Centers.

She loved to watch John Wayne movies and read her Bible.

She also loved going to the senior centers.

Her family wrote, &#8220Doris loved to spend time with her friends and family. Her positive, strong, and kind nature will never be forgotten. She was known by her friends as an angel. She was very generous and loving. She never had anything bad to say about anyone.”

Doris Mary Daniels is survived by her daughter, Jean Ann Kusel; granddaughters, Shanon Foster and Danielle O'Brien; great-grandchildren, Brennen Daniels, Destiny Edwards, and Cole Harms; and sister, Virginia Vance.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Daniels; six siblings; and two grandsons-in-law, Jeffrey Brown and Michael Edwards.

Eva Mae Cope

Eva Mae Cope, 80, died Jan. 28, 2007, at Mat-Su Regional Medical Center.

She was born July 28, 1927, in Wayne County, Mo. She became an Alaska resident in September 1951.

She resided in Wasilla from 1951-1965, then in Palmer from 1965-2004, and Wasilla again from 2004 until she died.

She was a homemaker, worked for the school district and at the Pioneer home.

She retired from the state of Alaska.

She was a member of the Family Christian Center.

Her hobbies included crafts such as cross stitching and embroidering.

She is survived by her sons, John of Palmer, James of Palmer, and Dale and his wife Tana Otcheck of Kenai; her daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and Richard Lysagorski of Anchorage, Gladys and Jeremy Bunker of Jackson, Mich., and Shirley Tillet of Everett, Wash.; her brothers, Ralph and Ronnie Shore; sister, Dorothy Garrington; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
