Palmer resident Frances Cole Bryant, 55, died on Jan. 18, 2011, at home.
A service was held Jan. 22 at the Lighthouse Christian Fellowship, 629 Hollywood Dr., Anchorage, with the Rev. Kenneth Friendly officiating. An additional service is set for Jan. 25 at Mount Lebanon AME Zion Church, 316 Culpepper St., Elizabeth City, N.C.
Frances was born Sept. 3, 1955, in Elizabeth City, N.C., and graduated from North Eastern High School in Elizabeth City.
Frances became an Alaska resident starting in 1985 and lived in Kodiak from 1985 to 1988, and 1992 to 1996, lived in Anchorage from 1996 to 1998 and then became a Palmer resident in 1998.
Frances was self-employed and belonged to the Lighthouse Christian fellowship choir, second ministry and cleaning ministry. Her hobbies were traveling, fishing, singing and ceramics.
She is survived by her husband, Larry Bryant; children, Yolanda Cole-Gill, Anita L. Green, Larry A. Bryant Jr., Brent Q. Bryant and Kent Q. Bryant; grandchildren, Tre-Zale Green, David Gill Jr., Devyn Gill, Destini Green, T’nias Green; and siblings, James C. Cole, Margaret C. White, Marion Cole, Julius Cole and Earnest Cole Jr.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been set up at any Wells Fargo Bank.
Arrangements were entrusted to Legacy Funeral Homes — Kehl’s Palmer Chapel.
