Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

Big Lake resident Frances L. Anderson, 86, died Dec. 24, 2008 of natural causes at her home in Big Lake.
A funeral will be held Wednesday at Alaskan Heritage Memorial Chapel at 1 p.m. She will be interred at Angelus Memorial Park Cemetery.
Frances was born in Pumpkin Hollow, Okla., Oct. 25, 1922.
She came to Alaska in 1952.
She was a housewife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Frances loved knitting, reading, gardening and being with her grandchildren.
Her family said, “She loved her family above all else.”
She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles L. Anderson; sons, Larry Anderson, Tom Anderson and Jack Anderson.
Frances is survived by her daughter, Viola Jean Pershall of Wasilla; daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Jon Zylstra of Wasilla; sister, Heddy (Bob) Comstock of Homedale, Idaho; grandchildren, Bill Anderson of Wasilla, Ray Anderson of Wasilla, Robert Wolfe of Anchorage, Ronald Wolfe of Las Vegas, Nev., Vickie Pershall of Willow; granddaughter and spouse, Barbara and Tim Locklair of Anchorage; great-grandchildren, Garrett Roberts of Willow, Roxanne Roberts of Wasilla, Tyler Anderson of Anchorage, Austin James Wolfe of Anchorage, Wyatt and Kayden Wolfe of Las Vegas, Nev., and loving mother of Austin James, Dana McKoskey of Anchorage.
