Frank (Frankie) Adam Greathouse Jr, 81, passed away September 22, 2020 at his home in Wasilla, Alaska.
Frankie was born April 20, 1939 in Ventura, California to Frank and Ardella Greathouse. He served in the U.S. Air Force, Civil Service, and Army Reserves. He traveled the world, living in California, Nevada, Johnston Island, Oregon, Guam, and Alaska. On May 13, 1961, he married his wife of 59 years, Kathleen Ray.
Frankie was an avid outdoorsman and dedicated family man. In 1981, he followed his lifelong dream and moved to Adak, Alaska with his wife and three children. Frankie enjoyed hunting, fishing, westerns, and barbecuing too much meat. He showed his love for friends and family through service and teasing.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy; his children, Adam Greathouse, Sharon Lemmons, and Rayleen Greathouse; his sister, Mary Towne; and his eight grandchildren Karl, Kaleb, Kolten, Kenny, Will, Garrett, Eric, and Morgan.
A viewing will be held at 2pm, with a service following at 3pm on Wednesday, September 30 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Wasilla (821 E. Dellwood St.). Following the funeral, he will be laid to rest in the Palmer Pioneer Cemetery.
