Frank Collelo peacefully went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 22 2018, due to complications of Alzheimer's disease.
Frank was born November 30 1927, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Italian immigrant parents, Mary (Daloga) and Louis Collelo.
He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers, Angelo (No. 1), Steve, Angelo (No. 2) and Anthony. He is survived by his two brothers, Vincent and Santo and his sister, Rosina. Frank was blessed with fourteen children. Thomas, Linda, Frank, Ronald, Sharon, Donald, Mary, Anthony, Maria, Lisa, Timothy, Susan, Alvin and Shanalle. He had many grandchildren and great grandchildren, too numerous to name. He had a special bond
with his 2-year-old grandson, Adam, and looked forward to seeing him on Fridays.
Frank joined the Merchant Marines in his latter teens and the United States Air Force in his early twenties. He spent 25 years and 10 months active duty retiring at the rank of Master Sargent. He was a crew chief and airplane mechanic.
Frank was an avid hunter, fisherman, golfer, bowler and softball player. He excelled in them all with many trophies to admire. He attended college in the Philippines at the age of 65 earning a three-year degree in Business Management. He made the softball team all three years.
Frank loved life and traveled to many different places around the world.
In his latter days he was content to sit in his "big chair", watch television and eat his snacks with his little dog, Chloe, by his side. Frank loved the Lord with all of his heart and volunteered untold hours over the years doing indoor and outdoor work for the church. He spoke often of going to Heaven.
He is finally reunited with the mother he was separated from in his early childhood and his father and brothers (one brother he had never met).
Frank was loved by many people. May he rest in peace. Special thanks to his personal caretakers, Erin and Eva. Blessings to you both for your hard work and dedication to Frank.
Service will be held at Mana Baptist Church on Saturday July 28 at 12 p.m. 10151 E Palmer-Wasilla Hwy.
