FRANK PETERSON

FRANK PETERSON

A Celebration of Life for Frank W. Peterson, 71, was held Saturday at Faith Bible Fellowship in Big Lake with Pastor Ethan Hansen officiating.

Frank died at his Houston residence on Nov. 16. He was born on Aug. 7, 1938 in Zalpariso, Ind., and came to Alaska in 1968.

Frank worked as a truck driver in his early years and retired from working maintenance for the city of Palmer. Frank enjoyed selling and setting off fireworks, target practicing, carpentry, cooking, 4-wheeling and his grandchildren.

According to his family, “Frank loved to be around his friends and family. He was very detail-oriented and kept everything meticulously organized. Frank always overbuilt everything. The Bible reminds us in John 3:16 that God sent his only son to die for our sins and that through Jesus we may have eternal life with Him in Heaven. Frank was loved by many and touched many people’s lives in his last days. Frank will be missed by all especially by his grandkids.”

Frank is survived by two daughters and son-in-law Audra and Art Gobin of Big Lake and Kathy Peterson of Sitka; son Bill Peterson of Anchorage; brother and sister-in-law David and Susie Peterson of Tucson, Ariz.; sister Paula Ferguson of Georgia; and two grandchildren, Amber and Aden Godin of Big lake.
