Frobin Flay Putman, 87 of Wasilla, Alaska passed away Sunday, September 19, 2021, at Mat-Su Regional Hospital Wasilla, Alaska. He was born November 20, 1933 in Muse, OK, the eleventh child of Elbert Putman and Dora Edwards. He entered military service in March of 1953, and was stationed in Germany for three years and honorably discharged in February 1956. After military service, he passed the GED and went to college on the GI bill.

He and Sue married September 1, 1959 in Durant, OK. They came to Alaska in August of 1964 to begin his teaching career in Ouzinkie, Port Lions and Kodiak. He retired in 1984. He was a member of Wasilla Bible Church, Wasilla Alaska. While in Kodiak he lived his dream of hunting, fishing, hunting, fishing, fishing and more fishing. Retirement in Wasilla resulted in wood turning craft shows then the challenge of turning whale vertebrae between 500 and 1000 years old on his wood lathe.

Frobin was preceded in death by his parents, eight brothers, a sister and grandson Michael. He is survived by his wife Sue; son, Flay (Robbin); grandchildren, Cira Ashley; and daughter, Adrelia.
