Gary Franklin Kessinger, 71, quietly passed away at home with his family on October 4, 2016, at his home in Palmer, Alaska. Gary was born on June 24, 1945 in San Diego, California, to Fred and Dorothy Kessinger.
Gary married Judy Irene Chandler in 1965 in Reno, Nevada, and they were married for 51 years. Gary has been an Alaskan since 1976 and was a member of Cross Country Church, where he sang in the choir. He enjoyed singing, fishing, hunting, flying airplanes, and he loved football and car racing.
Gary is survived by his spouse, Judy I. Kessinger of Palmer; his son, Jeffery Kessinger of Palmer; his daughter and son-in-law, Sonya and Stefan Andreanoff of Palmer; his grandchildren, Katerina, William, and Jakob Andreanoff; and his nieces and nephews and other relatives. He also left behind his beloved dog, Minnie.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. October 16, 2016, at Cross Country Church (Old Theater, Wasilla), 2430 E. Parks Hwy, Wasilla.
