Longtime Alaskan resident Gary Lee Cullen, 84 passed away peacefully at his home in Wasilla, Alaska on May 24, 2023.
Gary was born on September 15, 1938, and raised in La Plata Missouri. He served in the Air Force from 1959 to 1963. Gary moved to Alaska in 1973 and worked in the oil fields as a maintenance electrician, while raising his family.
Gary married Kathy Cullen and raised a family for 30 years. He later re-married Louise Cullen and remained married for 23 years until her passing on October 31, 2019.
Gary enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and helping others. His happiest moments in life were spending time with his family and spoiling his grandchildren.
He is survived by his sons Patrick Cullen, Michael Cullen, Terry (Amy) Cullen, numerous grandchildren, and great grandchildren in Alaska, California, and Washington.
Gary is preceded in death by his parent's Louis and Molly Cullen, and his sister Patricia Powers.
A Celebration of Life will be held July 29, 2023, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm for family and close friends.
