Gene Williams

Gene Williams, born June 23, 1043 to Alton and Marie Linford, in Boston, Massachusetts, passed away on March 29, 2016. Her home of nearly 40 years was at the Williams Reindeer Farm in the Butte, where she lovingly tended to her impressive raspberry bushes.

Her priority in life was family, from her loving parents and siblings Russ and Ann, husband, Tom and four children; Denise, Thane, Wendy, and Kimberly, her beloved grandchildren and extended family, to the many “adopted family” members who, though not related by blood, were an integral part of her family.

A naturally shy and quiet person, she believed that no one should ever feel alone or left out, and she would welcome anyone with her warm smile and offer of respect and friendship.

Service was her life’s work, giving her time, energy, and absolute love to many who were so blessed with her friendship. Family history was her passion, and through her work in genealogy she served many who have left this world.

Her unconditional love, open heart, and capacity for forgiveness is something she is known well for. The greatest honor we can give her is to carry on her work by sharing her message with others.

We are very grateful to Mat-Su Regional staff for their tender care and compassion.

Gene’s wonderful spirit is a blessing to heaven, and leaves a void here on earth.

Services will be held on April 23at 2 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Palmer.

Donations may be made to the Gene Williams Memorial Fund at Mat-Valley Federal Credit Union, Account # 152543.
