George Gary Taliaferro

August 18th, 1947 – March 16th, 2021

George G. Taliaferro returned home to our loving Heavenly Father on March 16th, 2021, while at Providence Hospital. A celebration of life will be held April 17th, 2021, from 11:30am – 12:30pm at Wasilla Kings Chapel, located at 1702 N Lucille St., Wasilla, AK.

George was born an only child to George Sr. and Virginia Taliaferro and grew up in the Midwest. George joined the USAF after a short time in college and served from Vietnam to England. George finished his career in the Air Force and shortly after began a second career at the Wasilla Post Office. George was known for being a talker while making many friends in this once small community. George was an avid fisherman, and with the gift of gab, he was able to strike up a conversation just about anywhere.

George used this to share his love for the Lord and Faith with anybody that would listen. Along with this George had a heart of a giver and gave to many different organizations from his home church, Troopers to missions. During his retirement he worked to further the Kingdom of the Lord through his giving and sharing of his testimony and Faith.

George is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Jim and Michele Taliaferro, daughter Constance Taliaferro, son Ben Taliaferro, and grandchildren Kaitlyn, Ebony, Dakota, Hope, Teeva, Corey and Cheyanne. George will be missed by many, but knowing where he is leaves us at peace and looking forward to seeing him again in Heaven.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in George’s name to Kings Chapel to our Project Zech. Thank you and God Bless.
