Geraldine A. Goodman, 99, was born Aug. 13, 1915, in English Township, Iowa County, Iowa. She was the youngest daughter of Joseph and Margaret Jane Wagner. She attended the Gehrg Rural School System in Iowa County and the Parnell Iowa School through 1933. She married Clarence L. Goodman on June 19, 1935, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. In August 1945 she moved to Alaska to be with her husband who was a Federal Service employee in Glennallen. It was there she raised her two sons, James L. and Robert L.
She was preceded in death by her mother in 1920; father in 1961; sister, Margaret Ruby in 1967; sister, Celeste Gries in 1979; husband, Clarence in 1980; brother, Vincent in 1984; grandson, Ricky Ty in 2011; and son, James L. in 2012.
Geraldine moved to Palmer in 1989 and lived there until her death on Dec. 8, 2014.
She is survived by her son, Robert, also of Palmer.
