Geraldine “Jeri” Haberman

Geraldine “Jeri” Haberman, 57, died Jan. 14, 2008, at Mat-Su Regional Medical Center in Palmer.

She was born Aug. 10. 1950 in Castro Valley, Calif., to Gerald and Pearl Meisner and graduated from Castro Valley High in 1968. She worked in the moving industry and hotel management for many years before working as an apartment manager where she had lived for almost 20 years.

In 2006, her daughter and son-in-law moved her to Alaska where she spent her last two years surrounded by the love of her grandchildren, family and new friends.

Her family wrote, “Jeri was a firecracker. She was a spunky little lady who brought a smile to everyone’s face when she walked into a room. Her grandchildren and family were everything to her. She loved all animals and talking with her friends.”

She is preceded in death by her parents, Pearl and Gerald Meisner, and grandparents Mary and Lawrence Bodas.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Michele and Daren Judd and her two grandchildren Ryan and Kandi Judd, all of Wasilla.

Her family would like to thank all the wonderful doctors and nurses who treated her. She will be greatly missed.
