Gideon Trey Davis

Gideon Trey Davis, 17 months, died July 17, 2012, in Anchorage.

He was born Feb. 15, 2011, in Wasilla, son of Alex and Kathy (DeVilbiss) Davis.

A celebration of life service in honor of Gideon will be held July 21 at 2 p.m. at Lazy Mountain Bible Church in Palmer, with Kevin Newman and Dave Kenny officiating.

Gideon loved playing outside in the yard, where he loved the tractors and farming that he enjoyed with his family. His family will remember him saying, Gideon was “cuter than the stars” and he always was quick to laugh, smile and to brighten the day with his family, friends and hospital staff who cared for him.

Gideon is survived by his mother and father, Alex and Kathy (DeVilbiss) Davis; sisters, Kaylynn, Evelyn and Adah; and brother, Jace Davis, all of Palmer. He is also survived by his Mema and Bepa Darlene and Ray DeVilbiss of Palmer; his grandma and grandpa, Lynn and Tim Davis of Lead, S.D.; his aunts and uncles, Carmen and Gerald DeVilbiss, Marilyn and Jason Vink, all of Palmer. He is also survived by his aunts and uncles, Diane and Vaughn Hammond of Juneau, and Micole and Chad Davis of Lead, S.D. Gideon is also survived by his cousins, Aiden, Wiley and Cody DeVilbiss; and Riley and Krista Vink, all of Palmer; and cousins, Jacob and Talitha Hammond of Juneau, and Braevry, Rejoice and Harmonie Valor of Lead, S.D.

The family suggests in lieu of flowers memorials be made in Gideon’s memory to FBO account at MVFCU for the Davis family.
