Governor Dunleavy’s veto pen left a trail of destruction worse than the 1964 earthquake. His slashes to the state budget were like knives ripping through the lives of Alaskans of all ages. His ill thought out, sadistic cuts made it clear to low income older Alaskans their expiration date is up – your years of hard work and many sacrifices to Alaska are worthless. And to quality young people seeking an education and future in Alaska: hit the road to the Lower 48 for a decent education, and – by the way – don’t come back! And to industry and business: don’t come to Alaska – we don’t want you here! To Alaska business and tourism: We just don’t care – go away and stay away! Perhaps Alaskans should eliminate Dunleavy’s salary and evict him from his Juneau home.
Why do we have a legislature? Dunleavy has proven Alaska is a one man tyrannical show. This is extremely frightening and warrants emergency action on the part of the State Legislature to step in and stand up for the needs of their constituents – the citizens of Alaska.
