Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

Big Lake resident Gregory Carl Blank, 60, died at home Aug. 18, 2013 of natural causes.
Gregory was born May 9, 1953 in Hibbing, Minn. He became an Alaska resident in June 1955. He served in the U.S. Navy and was also employed with the Teamsters Union Local Chapter 595 and CSX as a mechanic.
Gregory’s hobbies were working on cars and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by daughters, Tori, Carmin and Tierra Blank; mother, Helmi Blank; sister, Diane Kepl; grandsons, Ryder Bullock and Isaac Price; and granddaughter, Yukiko Smith, all of Alaska. He’s also survived by numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Rolend Carl Blank.
Arrangements are with Alaskan Heritage Memorial Chapel and Crematory.
