WASILLA — Actors and actresses are invited to audition for the HAMS — the Homeless Actors of Mat-Su — next production “Birth.”
The dinner theater production will run Friday and Saturdays, April 19-20 as part of the Wasilla Women’s Show at the Menard Center and at Turkey Red April 26-27 during Palmer’s “Who Let The Girls Out” event.
Auditions for the cast of eight women — two ethnic and six white — and two men are at noon, March 9 at Mat-Su Family Restaurant for cold readings from the script.
A fundraiser for the Alaska Birth Network, the play tells the true stories of pregnancy and delivery in today’s medical community. There will be a group discussion with caregivers after the show each evening, therefore this is not just entertainment but educational, too.
