Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

Hannah Marie Williamson, 16, died March 10, 2013.
She was born on Dec. 19, 1996, the fourth of five siblings.
Surviving are her father and mother, Greg and Heather Williamson; siblings, Kayla, Joshua, Lauren and Clayton Williamson; grandparents, David and Jackie Williams, and Howard and Judy Williamson; great-grandmothers, Evelyn Williams and Nelda Long, all of Nacogdoches, Texas; and a host of other loving family members.
Hannah’s noted achievements in life was being a straight-A student ranking sixth in her class at Eagle River High School, a starting member of the high school rifle team, a member of the JROTC drill team as well as being a non-commissioned officer E-5 in the JROTC. She volunteered often at local events and was aspiring to attend the U.S. Air Force Military Academy.
It is safe to say that Hannah will be missed and is a cherished asset in the treasure trove of the Williamsons’ memories.
Services are from 2 to 3 p.m., March 17 at King’s Way Ministry Center, 10336 E. Eagle River Loop Rd., Eagle River. Army Chaplain Bob Williams, assisted by Anchorage Police Chaplain Paul McGee Jr., will officiate at a celebration of life reception immediately following services.
