Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

Harletta Sand , 88, Wasilla, Alaska, died on April 28, 2024 at home surrounded by her family and loved ones.
She enjoyed planting her flowers every spring, enjoyed researching topics on her computer, watching Nascar races, keeping up on Iditarod every year, traveling in her motorhome, loved to drive the Alcan and spending time with her family of 5 children, 16 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great- grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband (Lyle Sand) and beloved grandson (Alex Sand).
In the near future there will be held a Celebration of Life. Burial will be in Marshfield, Missouri next to her husband.
