Longtime Alaskan resident Harold (Hal) Ernest McNally, 84, passed away peacefully in his sleep on July 4, 2022 at his home in Wasilla, AK. A service will be held at Sunny Knik Chapel 10774 S. Knik Goose Bay Road, Wasilla, AK 99623 on July 16, 2022 at 1 pm.
Hal was born May 4, 1938 in Ashland, Maine to Robert and Mabel McNally. He was the oldest of five and the only son. He married Susan on May 5, 1976 and they spent many years in different parts of Alaska, California, Nevada and New York, finally settling for good in Wasilla in their retirement cottage. Hal was a carpenter, gold miner and most of all a loving father and grandfather. He was a member of Sunny Knik Chapel. Hal is survived by his sisters- JoAnn Chevrette, Phyllis Ide and Hazel Paull, Children- Linda McNally, Larry McNally, Doug McNally, Amy Marlett, & Jill Martinson, Grandchildren- Michael McNally, Meghan Ramezani, Kyle McNally, Katherine Boll, Katie Rouzer, Dominick Martinson, Tanner Marlett, Eric McNally, Jessica Martinson & David Martinson, Great-grandchildren- Alex Marlett, Nicole Hammer, Harlynn Boll, Wesston Boll, Myles Boll, Olivia McNally, Caroline Rouzer, Remington Marlett & Able Shoemaker. He was preceded in death by his wife Susan and his sister Jeanette.
