Harry William Brunnhoelzl III

Wasilla resident Harry William Brunnhoelzl III, 43, died Nov. 22 at home in his sleep. There will be a memorial service at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, 432 Fireweed, in Palmer on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. The Rev. Thomas Brundage will officiate. There will be a potluck to follow at the Grouse Ridge Shooting Range, 6967 E. Tex Al Drive in Wasilla.

Harry was born Dec. 20, 1965 to Harry and Barbara Brunnhoelzl in Oceanside, N.Y.

In 1976, Harry moved to Alaska. In 1984, he graduated from Palmer High School. Harry live in Palmer until 1994, when he and his family moved to Wasilla.

Harry was employed at his family business, Valley Mechanical Contracting Inc. Some hobbies he enjoyed were shotgun shooting, snocross racing and he was a private pilot.

His family said, “Harry lived his life to the extreme. He worked hard, he played hard and had a huge heart. He leaves behind his loving family and he will be remembered in their hearts.”

Harry is survived by his wife, Arlene M. Brunnhoelzl of Wasilla; sons, Jeremiah C. Brunnhoelzl, Joshua “Beau” Brunnhoelzl, and Daniel C. Brunnhoelzl all of Wasilla; father, Harry W. Brunnhoelzl, Jr. of Wasilla; mother, Barbara Brunnhoelzl of Wasilla; sister, Faith Brunnhoelzl of Palmer; brother, Chris H. Brunnhoelzl of Palmer; sister, Amy (Brunnhoelzl) Musick of Richland, Wash.; paternal grandfather, Harry W. Brunnhoelzl, Sr. of Key Largo, Fla.; paternal grandmother, Nancy Brunnhoelzl of Key Largo, and maternal grandmother, Millicent Erickson of Scranton, Penn.; and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Burton Erickson.
