Haskell Angelo Carper was born on June 23, 1934 and died on July 14, 2016 by losing his battle with Parkinson’s Disease. Most knew Haskell as Hack. His home town was Wright City, Oklahoma. He was honorable discharged from the United States Army as a Private. Hack moved from California to Wasilla, Alaska in 2004, and it since has been his home. He was well known for his love for hunting and fishing. His strongest passion was his wife Christine, daughter Gwendolyn, and granddaughters Christina, Melissa, Jyssica, and Rebecca. His two great-grandsons, Benjermin and Samuel, always put an extra sparkle in his eyes. Hack was a simple gentleman who embraced hard work. He was a 3rd degree with the Knights of Columbus at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Wasilla, Alaska. He lived life with a smile, which was usually followed by a mischievous action. He loved to travel the country with his wife at his side. He will be sorely missed, but never forgotten. Hack is preceded in death by his father and mother, George and Naobi Carper, and all of his siblings, Musette Carper, Vera May Mcoy, Leslie Carper, Roy Carper, and Alvin Carper. Private services are being held.
