Helen Mae Kurtz

August 19, 1936 - October 29, 2024

Helen M. Kurtz, 88, passed away on 10/29/2024 after a long battle with cancer. Helen was the last surviving child of Cecil & Mary Kurtz, original colonists in the Valley. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her sisters, Una Haverty and Ruth Ward. Helen never married and was survived by her six nieces and nephews and their families. Helen led an exciting life of hunting, fishing and trapping through the years. She was also a licensed pilot and a commercial fisherwoman. Helen was a great friend to many in the area and will be greatly missed. At her request there will be no services.
