On February 26, 2023, the world became a little darker, we lost Henery Emmitt LaBoucane at University Healthcare in Columbia Missouri. He was a great man, hero, husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle, teacher, mentor, and friend who will be greatly missed. He left a piece of his heart with anyone he ever met.

Henery was born in Yakima, Washington on March 5, 1957. He married Betty E. Martz on May 26, 1978 in Erlangen, Germany. He is survived by his wife Betty; his four children; Shane LaBoucane, Nikki Heckert, and Joshua LaBoucane all of Wasilla, AK and Bryan LaBoucane of Fairview, TN; one brother, Dale of New Mexico and 9 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one grandchild and his parents.

Henery served in the US Army for 21 years starting as an E1 and retiring as a Chief Warrant Officer 2 in Alaska. He received the Legion of Merit Award as well as several other awards. After retiring at age 39, he had a successful automotive business, AK Automotive, for more than 12 years where his family all worked in Wasilla, Alaska. He loved fishing in Alaska and enjoyed numerous motorcycle trips and camping trips with grandchildren all across the United States. He liked to manufacture tools and equipment to make the job go easier and was into airbrushing and auto-painting.

There will be a Celebration of Life on May 26, 2023 at his home 4253 CR 7760 in West Plains Missouri for all would like to attend.
