Henry Kilfoyle

Wasilla resident, Henry Kilfoyle, 75, died Oct. 10 of brain cancer at his home.

Services will be held at Pioneer Baptist Church, 2730 Meadow Lakes Loop Road in Wasilla on Saturday at 20 p.m. Pastor John Stewart will officiate. Henry will be laid to rest at Fort Richardson National Cemetery.

Henry was born Dec. 18, 1933 in Lakewood, Ohio. He attended St. Edwards High School in Lakewood and later obtained his GED.

Henry was a retired Air Force Veteran who received the Air Force Commendation Medal. He moved to Alaska in 1972 and spent time as a truck driver for Bobbie Jack Trucking.

He was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed camping, wood working and his pets.

He was a member of the American Legion Post 35 and the Pioneer Baptist Church of Wasilla.

His family wrote: “He will always be remembered for his unconditional love, giving generosity, never-ending hugs and his always changing furry critters.”

He is survived by his wife, Sharon Kilfoyle, son, David Kilfoyle, daughter and son-in-law Susan and Mike Sevigny, daughter and son-law Mary Ann Kilfoyle-Adams and Al Adams, daughter, Barbara Kilfoyle, grandsons, Kevin and Melissa Mullinax, James and Melissa Adams, Kyle Ducker, Ryan Ducker, Christopher and Liz Sevigny, granddaughters Natasha Sevigny, Brittney Smith, Guinan Ducker, and eight great-grandchildren.

Mr. Kilfoyle was preceded in death by his daughter Julie Kilfoyle-Bellinger and daughter Barbara’s fiancée, David Lipps.

Memorial bequests may be sent to the American Cancer Society or Pioneer Baptist Church, 7362 W Parks Highway, #382, Wasilla, AK 99654.

Arrangements are with Janssen’s Eagle River Funeral Home.
